Not only have I read this book, but I also attended Rainn Wilson's book signing at the Dallas Musuem of Art. It was an incredible experience! Mr. Wilson actually addressed the event in which he smashed a bassoon on Colbert. He said, firstly, that the bassoon was found at a junk store and was very cheap. Second, he is also a bassoon player and played it during his high school years and beyond (as you will read in the book), and while he does make some negative comments about it, that is simply his opinion from firsthand experience, and he is not trying to degrade others for playing it.As for the remainder of the book, Wilson highlights several interesting and hilarious aspects of his life that were both entertaining and educational. Yes, there is also an entire chapter dedicated to his time at The Office. Therefore, if you're looking for a book that talks about the time he got worms when he was little (so funny!) to moments that completely changed his perspective on life, then this is the book for you!Keep in mind that I am writing this from the eyes of an 18 year old girl, so you may view this completely different from me.Also, the picture I provided is my personal, signed copy of the book.

As one might have expected, the actor who basically invented Dwight has one crazy, nerdy, off-the-wall history. There are a few rants about religion (Ba-h'ai Faith) in the book, but I mostly just skimmed over those parts. A decent read!

I never read non-fiction and I definitely do not read memoirs, but Dwight is my favorite character of all time. This book has riveted me from the beginning and was so witty and honest I have had it propped up above my keyboard to read while I'm at work! I loved every minute of the office, and thought there was just the right amount in the book. It is after all a story about his life, not a behind the scenes look at one portion of his career. The nonchalant way he describes jet stream diarrhea and embarrassing BO compliment the heart wrenching sections where he discusses some of his most vulnerable moments in life. 5 stars from me Rainn! Reading this book feels like having a private conversation with one of the great comedic geniuses of our time!

I love all of Rainn's work so I got the book to learn a bit more. I did hope there were more Chapters about The Office but that's okay. I learned quite a bit about what he did before getting the Dwight gig.Don't buy this if you expect Bassoon sheet music to be inside. There isn't any of that.

Wilson Rainn has a preposterous sense of humor, which was conveyed remarkably well in the book. I loved watching The Office and his character for all the episodes multiple times. He writes with the same humorous notes. Enjoyed his description of the Baha'i faith and his philanthropic work with the Mona Foundation.

I picked up this book just to have something light/easy to read. I knew I would probably like it, but didn't realize just how good it would be. It had the perfect funny to real-talk ratio, without being super self-deprecating like some of these type books can be (and which I get sick of pretty quickly). I enjoyed learning a few things about the Baha'i faith and what goes into making TV shows, and just overall liked the writing style and Rainn's perspectives on life, etc.

I am fascinated by what makes entertainers tick, and this is a particularly fascinating read. He has a lot of challenging ideas that will probably make you think, whether you agree with him or not. And if you like "The Office," yes, there are plenty of good behind-the-scenes stories to keep you happy.

How a high school dweeb turned into Dwight on "The Office". The maturation of an actor and some stories of the inside workings of a TV series show. Not much about the bassoon, except some jokes about its unweildiness.

My granddaughters (ages 2 and 4) love the book, but I find it very difficult to read to them -- dark print on shiny but dark images (screen captures of the episode) -- with all action occurring at night. So, very hard to see the details of the pictures in the book as well. We have both the paperback and Kindle editions. The Kindle edition, on our Amazon Fire, displays two pages at a time, so details of the pictures are not seen very well and it's also hard to read.

This is NOT a board book, this is a paperback and fairly delicate. It will need to be a "read together and the adult holds the book" experience.That said, a delightful Tumble Leaf adventure! I hope there will be many more!!

Great book - my kid loves it!

My kids love this show. I think Amazon has done a wonderful job on this animated series. If you have young children, definitely try this series out!!

My new favorite kids show (I have them theme stuck in my head...perils of being a dad). Great way to get a kid away from a screen and not to mention the illustrations in the book are beautiful. Thanks Amazon keep the great ideas and content coming.

As I’m sure most know, it is very difficult to find anything Tumbleleaf! My daughter was so so happy to have books! It is her favorite show! To her, fig bars are “fig bars”, but raspberry fig bars are “maple bars”.

About the Author

John C. Russ has used image processing and analysis as a principal tool for understanding and characterizing the structure and function of materials throughout his more than 50-year career as a scientist and educator. Much of Russ' research work has been concerned with the microstructure and surface topography of metals and ceramics. He has received funding for his research from government agencies and from industry. Teaching the principles and methods involved to several thousand students―in addition to consulting for many industrial clients―has further broadened Dr. Russ’ experience and the scope of applications for image processing and analysis. He continues to write and consult for a variety of companies (and to provide expert testimony in criminal and civil cases). He also still teaches image processing and analysis workshops worldwide and reviews publications and funding proposals. F. Brent Neal is a scientist and industrial researcher with Milliken Research Corporation, where he currently leads the central materials characterization and analytical chemistry facility. In this role, he leads efforts in technology and product development through deep understanding of materials performance. He has three patents issued or pending based on his work in polymer-matrix composites. Prior to his tenure at Milliken Research Corporation, he consulted and developed bespoke software for quantitative image analysis. He received his Ph.D in solid-state physics from Louisiana State University in 2002. Over the course of his career, he has measured and analyzed images from many different fields and his experience in materials characterization and measurement has been applied everywhere from the lab bench to manufacturing plants.
