About the Author

Born in 1963 in Gifu, Junji Ito is the face of Japanese horror. Once I heard this book would be released here in the states I was happy yet a bit skeptical, the reason being that I wondered if Junji still "had" it. I can say that he still has a twisted mind of sorts that'll leave you satisfied. When I received the manga through the mail the first thing you notice is well, Junji's signature artwork which stands out by the cover being embossed. I have to say that it makes it stand out and look and feel really nice.The manga revolves around a pair of siblings who go from town to town causing mayhem with each chapter getting darker than the previous one. Surprisingly Junji wrote the story with a meaningful message attached to it which I agreed to. If you're looking to get more horror manga make sure to add this one to your collection for it'll make a fine addition to it.

Great, creepy, gruesom collection of short stories about these awful, awful siblings.I love Junji Ito's work and love seeing more of his stuff coming state-side.

In my opinion, I liked this book a lot and I found it to be interesting. The only problem I had was the characters and how one-dimensional they were, but then again it is only one book and that makes it hard to develop characters. This book isn't as twisted as Uzumaki and Tomie, but still very interesting to read. I am very truly sorry if this was a bad review of the book.

I love Ito's art but this collection of stories fell flat for me. I like the mostly connecting story but only one story gave me the creeps. Some interesting ideas though but just not what I expected. Still happy to have it in my Ito collection though.

I love just about anything by Junji Ito and this was up to par. It's a quick read but holds a lot of the same tropes you see along his work. If you're a fan and frequently buy manga, it's worth adding to your collection!

Jungi Ito is a huge talent. This book preys on cultural stigmas in Japan, so some from the states may not understand it, but if you love Ito's brand of horror, you will love this. Check out the short story at the end...my favorite part!

Beautifully packaged and bound, the 2 characters on the cover are embossed and all the melted people are glossy while the rest is matte. The storyline is very good and follows these 2 characters. This is definitely a must have if you're a fan of the horror genre and especially if you're a fan of Junji Ito. It isn't his best work but it is phenomenal!I will be doing a full video review of this and will update my review here when it's finished!

I bought Gyo and Dissolving classroom together , and I enjoyed Dissolving classroom MUCH more. Although Gyo was great I loved the satanic worshiping aspect of D.C. All time favorite Junji Ito is still the Tomie Mangas. Waiting for my Uzumaki book to arrive.
