I give it three stars because it does provide much useful and interesting information. However, it is poorly written. It often lacks coherence and organization and is not presented in a way that makes learning the information especially easy. Many paragraphs could use restructuring and a significant amount of irrelevant information and repetition could be removed. Why include more in a paragraph than what is necessary to convey the point? It lacks succinctness. In addition, many sentences could be modified to avoid ambiguity. One of many examples from the book on page 296: "When the Fed buys Treasury bills or bonds (government securities), it pays for them with IOUs that serve as reserves for banks." Does this mean that the payment then makes the IOUs serve as reserves for banks or were IOUs that previously served as reserves for banks used to make the purchase? After doing some thinking and reading more you understand what is being said, but why not just say it in an unambiguous way to start with? Maybe I am just not as intelligent as some students out there, but if I had a choice, I would consider reading through different textbooks to find one that presents information in a more methodical and approachable way.
Book a advertised as "Very Good Condition". However, the cover of the spine was half torn. The outside 1/4 of the cover had a fold mark running the entire length of the book. Book looks significantly used.

The book was in good condition as stated from the seller, and shipment was fast so I was happy to receive it sooner than stated. The book itself is a good read. The author uses light sarcasm for humor making it funny and easy to learn concepts quickly. He, the author, breaks down key points to help you further understand each concept fully. I really enjoyed it even though I just needed this book for school for an econ class.
I bought this book for one of my college classes and it is a very easy to read book. It is written in plan language and made the class pretty simple for a not so simple subject.
